I have a job.

so… friday I had an interview (thanks muchly for all the support and congratulations)

well….  I just got a call NOW that says they WANT to hire me and I have an orientation at 4pm today.

it’s for the fig tree, an ecumenical newspaper here in spokane.  it reports on peace-building activities and I would get the opportunity to meet clergy and interfaith peoples here in town.  which would be great networking in terms of my clergy-training.

oh gosh.  it’s all too exiting.

americorps pays not so much.  but with my loans in deferment, it should be more than enough.

lurves to everyone and thanks for the prayers.

in other good news, I WON at pool last night.  I made a few difficult shots with grace and aplomb (and coaching), and I beat someone who is much better rated than I am.  AND my rating improved from a 2 to a 3.  (which means a few things, but I’m not sure what.)  turns out that pool is a game of finesse.  who knew?

    1. where do they go? I went to union theological seminary, or as I like to name it, “the palace of social dysfunction.” what unhealthy family systems! blech. so glad I’m not there anymore. but. I am glad I went.

I’m UU, want to be ordained. this would be great for me if it works out…

    1. fankses. πŸ™‚

I appreciate the nudge about americorps. it’s not something I would have thought of, but I think it will be a really good fit.

and also thanks for the nudge about the meds.

cause I feel a lot more together now… more able to deal with day to day bs than before…

    1. thanks Jarrell.

ahh… the difficulty of these economic times. job = very good thing.

I’ve been on unemployment insurance for a while now, and being broke and *sigh.* it will be really great to have a steady paycheck. it will also be great to be in a position which utilizes my skills and talents, and treats me like a human being. and I get health insurance. which seems like such a luxury to me now…
