Category: consequences of a theological education
There once was a girl who went to Seminary. Her first week of classes was September 11, 2001. She learned a lot about the Bible, ritual, systematic theology, religious fundamentalism, how people who are not good at getting along with each other try to get along, and other theological topics. She managed to graduate, and sing in the graduation choir. She wishes she could report that she has now grown her fairy wings and flies all over America, dispensing fairy dust wherever people are being unkind, or mean, or violent, and that would make them behave more kindly to each other. Sadly, this is not the case. The magical powers of fairy dust (or even magical thinking) are not to be discounted, however.
