My Story
A fusion of passion, expertise, and community spirit: I'm Anna Marie Martin, also known as SpokeAnna.
SpokeAnna began with a favor—a friend reached out for help with writing and editing. To move forward, I needed a business license. Encouraged by my former boss, Ed Reese, I decided to take the leap. Ed reassured me there was a real need for better storytelling on company websites and reminded me that every business thrives on its ability to show its value.
The name “SpokeAnna” came from a friend, and it felt like the perfect fit. What started as a small favor quickly grew into a purpose-driven venture focused on delivering high-quality writing, and consulting services.
During the pandemic, I expanded my work to include outreach and technical support for organizations seeking funding from city, state, federal, and foundation sources. One of my proudest accomplishments is securing a $1M grant for an antiracist childcare center in Spokane, creating 180 affordable childcare slots in underserved neighborhoods.
I am passionate about community building, the arts, recovery, and inclusion. I am excited to serve this incredible community, partnering with local businesses and nonprofits to share their stories and expand their impact in meaningful ways. It’s rewarding to contribute to the growth and success of a place I care so deeply about.
